Having grown up on the shores of Long Island Sound, Craig has fervent ties to the sea. As a child, he was digging for clams with his father in front of the family cottage where he resides with his wife today. He has worked as assistant engineer on a steamboat, as captain of a riverboat, and on the restoration of the whaleship Charles W Morgan.
